School Readiness Assessments

School Readiness Assessments are conducted with children in Grades R and 0. These assessments assist parents and schools in identifying any possible developmental shortfalls that may affect the learning and development of a child.  Failure to identify these challenges a child may have could adversely affect their school career.

Concession & Accommodation Assessments

A concession or accommodation assessment is used to determine if a student requires specific support to allow learners to achieve their potential. These assessments typically are conducted during a child’s high school education and are typically only granted if the child shows at least an average intellectual ability and a significant long-term learning barrier.

A concession or accommodation may include:

Additional Time, Scribe, Reader, Amanuensis, Prompter, Spelling, Handwriting to Computer or rest breaks to mention a few.

It is important to note that IEB & GDE / DBE &/ or SAICA may have different requirements for each assessment.
